WHATEVER YOU DO, don't use Feiyr's mastering service. You can't download or approve the final result. and with the restructure of cdbaby, i've been waiting two months to have 4 singles released with them (they haven't even put them on their website). Feiyr is extremely quick to post to their exclusive portals, and they report/pay almost immediately. Outside of their portals, i think i paid for nearly 50 sites and 10 have them and are selling them.
weak.
Symphonic looks promising.
Again, thanks for the info.

Re: 200+ Music Industry, Marketing, Social Media and Tech Blogs That’ll Make You A Media Whore!

Under "Social Media", add "Social Media Marketing in Music".
http://bit.ly/17pTw
Recent Posts: Watching videos together with videowave gadget on Google Wave
How will Google Wave impact online Music?
(n)ICE music
PHAME for fame?

Re: Coldplay Meet Jay-Z In Mixtape Mash-up

I'm a huge Coldplay fan and I've heard the mix recordings and I really liked it.

Re: 10 ‘New Music Industry’ PDFs That’ll Make You An Expert

Hey I wanted to drop by and update you on the Report's new URL. Thanks for the brief review! We're currently upgrading our website to show a video demo of our LMS and I'll make sure to include a list of terms as well. We work on a percentage base and help labels to be placed properly at the stores they will sell best. Our contract has a 30 days no-nonsense cancellation clause and we don't ask any fees upfront. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Re: Resources To Help Get Your Music In Films & TV

Thanks for one of the most useful articles I've read on the current landscape of music supervision. It can be difficult for even the most talented indie bands to connect with the people who can place their music. Licensing libraries are another way to for indie bands to get music. Boutique libraries like ours, Matchless Music (http://matchlessmusic.net), are exclusively licensing Indie music online. Directors, Film makers, Creative Directors, Producers, Music Supervisors can listen, share and license up-and-coming and little known Indie artists. Just another way artists to try to get their music synced, and most importantly heard by a wider audience.

Re: 101 Distribution Correction

Thank you! We can definitely use your comments to improve the information on our website and the structure of it. We certainly do not mean to scare off visitors - in fact, we might want to consider leaving our relatively tiny all-flash site and replace it with an (x)html site.

KJER.com strive to be the preferred business partner to record labels and music production companies worldwide that do not have the time or the resources in-house to take care of the complex digital distribution processes, and therefore have chosen to outsource the administration of their digital music assets.

Before we enter a business relationship we use a quite "analogue" way of discussing whether KJER.com is in fact the right place for the company in question. Consequently, visitors aren't enabled to automatically sign up. We want to be sure that we are the right choice for our clients, and we are only interested in helping the right clients.

In that process, we collaborate with IODA and and we have done that since 2005. Of course! :)
- Please allow me to underline the fact that KJER.com is a B2B company, i.e. we do not assist individual artists.

By-the-way: We help our clients with a lot of other relevant and critical tasks too, e.g. audio and graphics prep work.

Thanks again. An artist or preferably, those working for the artist, must create and build a unique brand for the artist. The recent success of the electronic music DJ Deadmou5 is not just his talent, but his unique branding which is unforgettable and easily recognized. When I saw him appear at the IDMA (International Dance Music Awards) during WMC (Winter Music Conference, March 2009, Miami), there was no doubt who he was in the crowd of almost 1,000 people. He was the guy with a giant mouse head and big ears covering his head.

I've heard artists proudly say that they are now in iTunes, the same way that in the past someone might have proudly told others that they got signed with a Label. Well, just getting into iTunes is no guarantee of any sort of results. I run Loud Feed, which offers artists the ability to sell from your own branded web site and virally distribute widgets for your fans to promote and sell your music, tickets and merchandise on social networks and blogs. In 2007, the staff at Loud Feed were hired by Tunecore to write the software at the core of Tunecore's distribution engine, which delivers music into iTunes, Amazon MP3, Emusic, Rhapsody and many more online retailers. Today Loud Feed offers artists the ability to sell from their own branded artist site or widgets and make 100%. Our business model as an engineering company that offers a white label technology solution for artists, labels and distributors is to simply put a margin on bandwidth usage, while taking 0% of your music sales. That makes us more like a utility company, where you're only paying more if you're using more electricity.

Re: Exploring The Digital Music Distribution ‘Jungle’

Don't forget to add La Cupula Music, a new Digital Music Aggregator focusing on Spanish Markets with an interesting self-service system www.lacupulamusic.com

Re: Exploring The Digital Music Distribution ‘Jungle’

Thanks for the mention of RouteNote.
